More Courage Than Few
“More Courage Than Few” is a collection of poems as a result of grueling hours of therapy, and my conversations with God. They are the sickness, the abandonment, but also the hope. These poems are the story of every adult trying to rescue and love the child they once were. And there lies the beauty. That if you choose, turmoil does not have to be infinite. Help will come.
PoeticMoment is a poet, educator, and community outreach organizer based in Los Angeles, California. She has been featured in numerous venues around the metropolitan area including Fly Poet, Da Poetry Lounge, EPIC, and SoFar Sounds. As a spoken word artist, she has been nationally recognized at The National Poetry Slam, Long Beach Poetry Slam, Southern Fried Poetry Slam, and many more.
As a professor, she actively works within Education by helping to develop the next generation of incoming teachers. Her passion for understanding and navigating mental health and childhood trauma has led her to work with various organizations to raise awareness. Some of these organizations include BESE: State of the Mind Series, Step Up: Inspiring Women to Inspire Girls, and Radical Self Care Now! Her life’s work is to use poetry as a means of communicating previously endured trauma and the hope the lies ahead.
