“seven” is the debut spoken word album by PoeticMoment. “seven” offers a theatric experience of notable scenes from the poetry collection “more courage than few.” this piece follows the journey of a black woman accepting her trauma and fighting to live in spite of it. the recording process included the minds of PoeticMoment and jason d. harris, as both artists explored ways to record music in reverse. in essence, how to build instruments and beats around the words, until the two fit. the album is inspired by elements of jazz, r&b, hiphop with a special ode to strings.

“seven” will only be found in the 300 physical vinyl copies printed during its release, as it will eventually be removed from all streaming platforms. an act that challenges the consumer of art to invest in what’s created with hands and not played by machines.
